Company Information General Motors has a global presence in over 190 countries and worldwide employment of 388,000 people. Best known as a full-line vehicle manufacturer, GM had worldwide factory sales in 1999 of 8.8 million motor vehicles, of which approximately 5.2 million were sold in the US.
